Mohammed Al Sharqi meets Fares Al Balushi for winning the first bronze medal for the UAE national team in the Fencing World Cup
FUJAIRAH, April 9, 2018 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, met in his office at the Emiri Diwan with Faris Al Balushi, a player of the national fencing team and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, for winning the first bronze medal for the UAE national team in fencing in the U-20 World Cup, which was organized in the Republic of Costa Rica.
His Highness congratulated the player Fares Al Balushi for achieving this distinction, which is the first of its kind for the UAE in the history of its participation in the World Cup for this age group, praising his honorable performance and the high level of competitiveness he presented during the tournament.
His Highness stressed the Fujairah government’s interest in supporting talented athletes and caring for those who excel, based on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, and his keenness to enable national talents to achieve advanced positions and raise the country’s flag in international forums.
For his part, Al Balushi expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah for his support and interest, stressing his determination to continue training and preparing for the upcoming competitions, and to represent the country well.
For his part, His Excellency Nader Abu Shawish, Director of the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, confirmed that this coronation comes as a result of the continuous support of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, for the emirate’s champions, adding that these results embody His Highness’s vision of preparing an athletic generation capable of competing in various sports tournaments.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah.
