Mohammed bin Zayed University of Human Sciences enhances its cultural presence in "Paris International Book Fair"


Paris, April 20 / WAM / Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities participated in the activities of the Paris International Book Festival 2026, which was held from April 17 to 19 at the Grand Palais in the French capital, Paris, and brought together more than 1,200 publishing houses and academic institutions from around the world.
The university participated in a joint pavilion with the Trends Center for Research and Consultation, which included their most prominent scientific publications, and hosted a series of seminars and cultural activities, reflecting the integration of the Emirati efforts in cultural and knowledge presence globally.
The platform presented an integrated program of research and knowledge activities, implemented in partnership between the two sides, and distributed throughout the days of the festival, addressing contemporary intellectual issues related to cultural and intellectual transformations at the international level.
The university also enriched the exhibition activities within its joint pavilion with a package of its modern scientific and research publications, which included various titles that combined research books, scientific journals, and academic theses, covering topics related to Islamic studies and humanities, most notably tolerance, philosophy, ethics, and sustainable development in Islamic thought in the UAE, moral values in financial transactions, interfaith dialogue, and automated language processing, in addition to the outputs of its international scientific conferences.
His Excellency Dr. Khalifa Al Dhaheri, President of the University, stressed that the University’s participation in the Paris International Book Festival represents a practical embodiment of its vision to consolidate its presence in the heart of the global cultural and knowledge scene, and to enhance its role as an influential actor in the knowledge industry and building bridges of dialogue between cultures.
He pointed out that the presence in these major international forums reflects the capacity of Emirati intellectual production, stressing that the partnership with the Trends Center for Research and Consultation comes within the framework of integrated efforts between the state’s institutions to open new paths for qualitative partnerships in a way that enhances its position as a soft power that makes its impact with science, and dedicates a model based on openness and cultural communication.
