"Baskets" 14 strategic partnerships were signed during "UAE Agricultural Conference"
Al Ain, April 24, 2017 (WAM) – Sellal Group, the leader in the food products and agricultural technology sector in the country, signed 14 strategic partnerships with leading institutions in the food sector in the country, at the main platform of the UAE Agricultural Conference and Exhibition 2026, in the presence of Her Excellency Dr. Amna bint Abdullah Al Dahhak, Minister of Climate Change and Environment.
These partnerships aim to diversify food supply chains, enhance the efficiency of local production, and support the country’s strategic food stock, thus contributing to consolidating the national food security system and raising the sector’s readiness to face future changes and challenges.
The signing was attended by His Excellency Dhafer Rashid Al Qasimi, CEO of Sellal Group, and Humaid Al Rumaithi, CEO of Food Security at the group, along with high-level representatives from the 14 partner entities.
The list of strategic partners included 14 entities representing a group of the most prominent key players in the food sector in the country, namely “Agthia Group”, “Al Khaleej Sugar”, “National Feed and Flour Production and Marketing Company NFFPM”, “Al Massa Food Industries”, “Walak Food Industries”, “Nestle”, “United Foods”, “Abu Dhabi Vegetable Oil Company (ADVOC)”, and “Arab India Spices”. Mai Dubai, SAFCO, Al Ghurair Foods, Al Dhahirah, and Royal Horizon Holding.
These partnerships reflect the continuous efforts made by the “Salal” group to enhance the country’s strategic food security and ensure the safety and sustainability of supply chains, ensuring that local demand is met and the highest levels of readiness and preparedness are achieved.
This step also comes in line with Sellal’s commitment to supporting the National Food Security Strategy 2051, by building a more flexible and sustainable food system, and ensuring the provision of safe and reliable food supplies that support the country’s economic and social development process.
