A Kuwaiti imprint in England.. “Milton Keynes” ascends to the English First Division

Hundreds of fans stormed the ground of Stadium MK in a spontaneous demonstration of love and celebration, announcing the promotion of Milton Keynes Dons to the English Premier League, following the impressive victory over Tranmere Rovers by 3-0, in the penultimate round of the Second Division League Two.

Some fans draped themselves in the Kuwaiti flag to celebrate the team’s return to the forefront, under the ownership of the Kuwaiti Investment Alliance led by businessman Fahd Ali Al-Ghanim, while the players were carried on their necks amid chanting and music that filled the air.

The goals of the decisive match were scored by Nathaniel Mendes-Laing in the 18th minute, and Alex Gilbey in the 21st minute, before Callum Patterson completed the hat-trick in the 78th minute, establishing his team’s dominance over the course of the match.

With this victory, the victory strengthened Milton Keynes Dons’ lead in the standings with 85 points, one point ahead of its pursuer, Bromley, which in turn secured the promotion ticket.

The team is now one step away from embracing the title. It needs to win in the final round against Fleetwood Town, while Bromley’s stumble may give it the title even if it fails.
