المملكة: With the best ranking since 2019.. Riyadh advances globally in the Smart Cities Index 2026
Riyadh has made significant progress in Three places compared to 2025, and it ranked fifth among the capitals of the G20 countries, recording its best ranking since 2019.
Major development in infrastructure and digital services
This progress reflects a number of qualitative improvements in digital infrastructure and smart services, as the city witnessed a remarkable development in digital transportation services, in addition to the expansion of smart facilities and improving the ease of access to them, as well as raising the efficiency of using digital government services.
This achievement comes within the framework of continuous efforts to enhance Riyadh’s position as one of the most prominent smart cities in the world, in line with Objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to build advanced cities that rely on innovation and technology to improve the quality of life and enhance sustainability.
