Perez personally leads the negotiations to return Mourinho to Real Madrid

ABC News said that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is personally leading the efforts aimed at returning Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho to the technical management of the royal team. According to what was reported by the network, Perez set a date for a direct meeting with Mourinho in Portugal, preferring to manage the negotiations himself and avoid using intermediaries.
This move came after the club’s general manager, Jose Angel Sanchez, played a pivotal role in convincing Perez to change his position, making Mourinho the most prominent candidate to succeed coach Alvaro Arbeloa.
Press reports indicated that Mourinho, who is currently coaching Benfica, is open to the idea of returning to the Santiago Bernabeu.
From the management’s point of view, the return of the Portuguese coach is considered the ideal solution to impose discipline and restore stability to the team’s dressing room, which is suffering from internal tensions and fluctuations in level.
It is noteworthy that Mourinho previously supervised the training of Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, where he led the team to win the Spanish League titles, the Spanish King’s Cup, and the Spanish Super Cup, leaving a clear mark despite the controversy that accompanied his period at that time.
