Al-Ahly announces the injury of its star after the match with Zamalek

Al-Ahly, the competitor in the Egyptian Premier League, announced today, Saturday, that its player Mahmoud Hassan (Trezeguet) suffered a cut above his left knee.

Al-Ahly stated on its website that the player’s injury required five stitches to be stitched on his wound, and the team doctor confirmed that Trezeguet’s condition is reassuring.

Trezeguet was injured during his participation with Al-Ahly in the summit match against host Zamalek in the coronation stage of the Egyptian League yesterday.
The match ended with Al-Ahly winning 3-0, raising the defending champion to 47 points and reviving his hopes of winning the championship. ⁠Al-Ahly is three points behind leaders Zamalek and Pyramids, second in ranking, who have 50 points.

Trezeguet missed a penalty kick that hit the left post, while Achraf Bencharki scored two goals and Hussein El Shahat scored a goal for the team.
