المملكة: A forward-looking reading of the Hajj seasons…an analysis revealing the most prominent changes until the year 2077 AD

He explained that the Hajj seasons during this period are distributed over the seasons of the year in a varying manner, as the winter season falls 17 times distributed over two periods (1454 AH – 1461 AH) and (1487 AH – 1495 AH), while the spring season comes in second place with 15 times during two periods. (1447 AH – 1453 AH) and (1479 AH – 1486 AH).
Hajj seasons
The fall season comes third, 13 times during (1462 AH – 1469 AH) and (1496 AH – 1500 AH), while the summer season is the least frequent, with 9 consecutive times between (1470 AH – 1478 AH).
With regard to the frequency of the days of the week that fall on the Eid day (10 Dhu al-Hijjah).
Al-Musnad indicated that Saturday tops the list with 11 times, followed by Monday with 10 times, then Wednesday and Thursday with 9 times each.
While Sunday, Tuesday and Friday are considered the least frequent, as each of them is repeated 5 times. Only.
The day of Arafah coincided with Friday
He indicated that the coincidence of the day of Arafah with Friday will be repeated 11 times during the study period.
He added that the table data reveal a clear time cycle for the Hajj’s entry into and exit from the winter season, as its entry begins in the year 1454 AH (March 11, 2033 AD), and continues until its departure in the year 1461 AH. (December 26, 2039 AD), before returning again to winter in the year 1487 AH (March 17, 2065 AD).
He stressed that this cycle lasts about 33 Hijri years, while the period of Hajj remaining within the winter season extends between 8 to 9 consecutive years in each cycle.
Holidays and Hajj
He pointed out that the phenomenon of Eid al-Adha occurring twice in one Gregorian year has been monitored. During the study period, the first in the year 2039 AD, where the Eid falls on January 5 and then on December 26, and the second in the year 2071 AD, where the Eid falls on January 11 and then on December 31.
Al-Musnad stated that the analysis was based on astronomical criteria that include the occurrence of the conjunction before sunset in Mecca, with the moon setting after the sun, without requiring visual sighting, stressing that the movement of Hajj between seasons takes place in a retrograde manner as a result of shortening The Hijri year is approximately 11 days compared to the Gregorian year.
He stressed that this study represents an important forward-looking tool that supports long-term planning for Hajj missions and organizing bodies, by anticipating the dates of the seasons and the climatic conditions accompanying them, in a way that enhances the readiness and operational efficiency of the various sectors concerned with serving the guests of God.
