starting "Made in UAE 2026" Tomorrow, it is expected to receive 120,000 visitors
Abu Dhabi, 3rd May / WAM / The activities of the fifth edition of the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform will begin tomorrow at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi under the slogan “Advanced Industry. We Emerge Stronger.” This is the largest edition of this leading industrial platform in the UAE.
The event is expected to attract about 120,000 visitors over its four days from May 4 to 7, with the participation of ministers, business leaders, investors, industrialists, innovators, and youth, on an exhibition area of 88,000 square meters showcasing manufacturing opportunities, products, technologies, and many others from 1,245 exhibitors.
This unprecedented size of this year’s edition reflects the long-term industrial orientation of the UAE and its commitment to building an economy based on continued construction and production.
The platform is expected to witness the announcement of major deals between government agencies, national companies, international institutions, and local companies.
For its part, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology unveils a series of initiatives aimed at enhancing the flexibility of the industrial sector in the UAE and supporting companies in light of the current volatile economic environment.
Initiatives include the new generation National Content Program (ICV), the Industrial Technology Transformation Index, along with new financing programmes.
The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology is hosting the “Make in the UAE 2026” platform event, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, ADNOC, and the L’IMAD platform and organized by the ADNEC Group.
The platform covers 12 priority industry sectors, including advanced manufacturing, energy, aerospace and defence, pharmaceuticals, mobility and sustainable materials.
The launch of the platform came with the aim of supporting the UAE’s industrial strategy and to act as a national mechanism for transforming ambitions into reality by gathering industrial priorities, capabilities and opportunities in one place.
The platform shows how reliable supply chains, scalable national companies, and local innovations translate into tangible economic impact, supported by government demand and a firm commitment to sustainable industrial growth.
This national path is evident in the current industrial performance of the UAE after the industrial gross domestic product increased by about 71%, and exports doubled to reach 262 billion dirhams, while 473 billion dirhams were directed to manufacturers and suppliers within the country through the National Content Programme. These results reflect the strength of the country’s industrial foundations, the clarity of its policies, and the impact of continued investments and partnerships.
This year’s edition focuses largely on industrial flexibility, localization, empowerment, advanced manufacturing and technology, supply chains, quality infrastructure, and competency development.
For the first time in the 2026 edition, visitors will be able to explore interactive areas and experiences that include the Museum of Industry, the Innovation Center, the Start-up Center, and the Quality Center, which showcase the most prominent industrial achievements, innovation, technology adoption, and the next generation of national talent.
The first day will witness a keynote speech delivered by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, followed by a ministerial session discussing ways to enhance resilient growth through strategic partnerships and industrial alliances.
