“Palm 365” wins the UAE second division title…and advances to the first league

The Palm 365 team was crowned champion of the second division football league, after its victory over the United team (3-2), today, Sunday, at Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, in the 29th round of the competition, to advance to the first division “amateur” league.

The coronation was witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Advisor to His Highness the President of the State, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the 365 Club, in the presence of members of the Board of Directors of the Football Association, Hisham Mohammed Al Zarouni, Omar Al Haj Al Muhairi, Fahd Ismail Al Raisi, and the Secretary General of the Federation, Mohammed Abdullah Hazzam Al Dhaheri.

The Palm 365 team was crowned with the second division shield after it presented distinguished technical levels throughout the season, which enabled it to win the title well-deservedly, and to register its name in the record of the competition’s champions.

The team continued its successes during the current season, after achieving its first official title by winning the Federation Cup, when it defeated the Hatta team on penalties, after the regular time of the final match ended in a positive draw (1-1), in the meeting that brought together the two teams last April 25 at the Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium in Al Nasr Club in Dubai.

With this achievement, the Palm 365 team completes its season by achieving a historic double, winning the Federation Cup and the Second Division Championships.
