المملكة: 22 thousand staff and 88 thousand cleaning units… integrated readiness for Hajj service 1447 AH


Declared Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, represented by the The Holy Capital, its operational and service readiness for Hajj season 1447 AH, within an integrated municipal system aimed at enhancing levels of safety and public health, and raising the efficiency of field response in various vital locations that witness high density during the season.

The Ministry indicated that its operational plan relied on harnessing more than 22,000 field staff, supported by more than 3,000 machines and equipment, in addition to emergency teams that work around the clock, shelter halls, and fixed and mobile laboratories, ensuring continuous readiness. To deal with various field situations.

With regard to infrastructure, the Ministry carried out extensive preparation works that included an internal road network exceeding an area of 73 million square metres, supported by 123 bridges and 44 pedestrian and vehicle tunnels, in addition to raising the efficiency of lighting networks and municipal elements related to the smooth flow of movement, which contributes to enhancing the safety of the pilgrims and facilitating their movement.

Readiness of the Holy Sites

The preparations also included raising the readiness of the Holy Sites in Mina and Arafat. And Muzdalifah, through an infrastructure extending over an area of 4.6 million square metres, including 20 bridges and 18 tunnels, in a step aimed at supporting crowd management and raising the efficiency of services in high-density areas.

In the hygiene, environmental sanitation and food safety sector, the Ministry has intensified its efforts through an operational system that includes more than 88 thousand cleaning units, 113 ground warehouses, and 1235 pressure units, in addition to more than 13 thousand cleaning personnel, And 403 environmental sanitation personnel, and 380 observers specialized in catering and food safety.

The Ministry also supported the food control system through 5 advanced laboratories, operating with a capacity of up to 1,300 samples per day, at a rate of examining one sample every minute, in addition to implementing more than 2,800 monitoring visits daily, to ensure the safety of food and commercial services provided to the guests of God.

Monitoring and processing observations

And at the level of field services, The Ministry has strengthened its spread through 66 service centres, including 28 centers inside the Holy Sites, which act as field operations rooms that contribute to accelerating the response and raising the efficiency of dealing with reports and observations.

With regard to municipal reports, the Ministry manages its system via the platform "“My Country”, which deals with more than 29 thousand reports, with an average response time not exceeding one minute and 13 seconds, which reflects high efficiency in monitoring and processing observations in vital sites.

These preparations come within a comprehensive operational plan implemented by the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, with the aim of enhancing municipal readiness and raising the efficiency of field performance, keeping pace with the requirements of the Hajj season and ensuring the provision of integrated services to the guests of God.
