Al-Wasl wins 3 points from Al-Wahda “with the weight of gold”… It becomes third in the league

Al-Wasl disturbed the atmosphere of Al-Wahda’s celebrations of the Professional Cup title, after defeating them 3-2, on Wednesday, at Al Nahyan Stadium, in the 24th round of the league championship.
With this valuable victory, Al-Wasl snatched third place from Al-Jazira, raising its score to 42 points, while Al-Wahda remained in fifth place after its score froze at 39 points.
Al-Wasl entered the match strongly, and succeeded in translating its early advantage into the lead goal through Miguel Borja, who handled Brian Blasius’ cross well, directing a header that landed in the net (5).
But Al-Wahda did not give up, and quickly regained its balance and imposed its presence, so that Facundo Kruspzki was able to score the equalizing goal after a distinctive pass from Tadic, which he shot from inside the area, and changed its direction after colliding with one of the defenders before hugging the goal (35).
In the second half, Al-Wasl continued its quest to advance, winning a penalty kick that was successfully executed by Nicolas Jimenez, giving its team the advantage again in terms of the score, “55”.
However, Al-Wahda came back to have its say, as Omar Khribin was able to equalize via a penalty kick as well (67).
In stoppage time, Al Wasl received a second penalty kick, which was successfully executed by Fabio Lima (90+6).
