Experts: "Emirates Medical Day" It embodies the country’s commitment to building an advanced and sustainable health system

Abu Dhabi, 9 May / WAM / Experts and specialists in the health sector confirmed that “Emirates Medical Day”, which falls on the 9 of May of each year, embodies the country’s firm commitment to building an advanced and sustainable health system based on innovation, modern technology, prevention and quality of life, thus enhancing the UAE’s position as a global model in future health care.

They said in statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, that today, thanks to this commitment, the UAE has become one of the best countries in the world in providing human-centered health care.

Her Excellency Dr. Noura Khamis Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said that Emirates Medical Day embodies the appreciation of health personnel and their role in improving community health and quality of life, by providing integrated health care based on commitment, humanity, and meeting the needs of society.

She added that the health sector in the country continues to achieve remarkable development, with the support of wise leadership and the efforts of health personnel, by adopting a comprehensive approach that combines prevention, early detection, and personalized care, supported by smart technologies and data analysis, which enhances the efficiency of the health experience and supports making more informed and proactive health decisions.

She affirmed the UAE’s commitment to continue building a sustainable, human-centered health system that enhances the readiness of the health sector and its ability to support community health and quality of life for future generations.

For his part, Dr. Abdullah Hamid Kazim, Quality and Institutional Excellence Consultant at the Response Plus Holding Group, explained that the health sector is witnessing an accelerating transformation led by modern technology and artificial intelligence, which contributes to the development of more accurate, efficient and focused services on patients’ needs, and enhances the quality of care and medical excellence.

He pointed out that the country’s investments in digital transformation and modern medical infrastructure have contributed to accelerating the adoption of smart health solutions and raising the efficiency of medical services, thus enhancing the UAE’s position as a leading model in advanced health care.

He said that modern technologies, including artificial intelligence in medical imaging, genomics, precision therapy and remote health monitoring, have played a pivotal role in providing more rapid, proactive and specialized care, which supports prevention and quality of care.

He stressed that information exchange platforms such as “Malafi” provide an advanced digital structure that supports data integration between health service providers, which enhances the efficiency of medical decisions and improves the patient experience, pointing out that the future of health care is moving towards an integrated model that combines medical expertise and advanced technology to build a sustainable and innovative health system.

Amr Saeed, Executive Director of the Diabetes and Obesity Sector at Lily for the Gulf Region, said that the advanced health environment in the UAE, with its advanced regulatory frameworks, rapid adoption of modern technologies, and close cooperation between the government and private sectors, has contributed to transforming innovation into tangible results, stressing the commitment to supporting the country’s efforts in promoting smart health care, accelerating access to innovative therapeutic solutions, and achieving sustainable health results for society.

Osama Al-Hajj, General Manager and Head of the Human Pharmaceuticals Sector in the Near East and UAE Region at Boehringer Ingelheim, stressed that UAE Medical Day reflects the progress achieved by the country in building a health system based on innovation and improving patient outcomes, by consolidating early diagnosis, developing more effective treatment options, and supporting patients and medical personnel, stressing the keenness to support these efforts, especially in the areas of stroke and chronic diseases.
