Cairo, 11 May / WAM / Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, condemned in the strongest terms the blatant Iranian attacks that affected the lands of the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and the territorial waters of the State of Qatar, in flagrant violation of the provisions of international law.

In a statement, Aboul Gheit expressed full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain in the face of sabotage plans targeting its security and stability, following its announcement of the arrest of 41 people linked to foreign entities who attempted to undermine the security and stability of the Kingdom.

Aboul Gheit expressed his absolute rejection of this unjustified escalation, which could undermine diplomatic mediation efforts to end the war peacefully.

He warned that continuing with such aggressive behavior could lead to the region sliding into further chaos, expressing his full solidarity with the affected Gulf countries in the measures they decide to protect their security and preserve their sovereignty over their lands and waters.
