The red card was dropped for Dibba player Khaled Abdullah 24 hours after the Ajman match

The media official at Dibba Club, Jassim Al-Zeyoudi, revealed that the Football Association’s Objection to Arbitration Decisions Authority officially accepted the club’s protest regarding the expulsion of team player Khaled Abdullah during the last match against Ajman, which ended in the latter’s favor 2-0, yesterday, Sunday, explaining that “all the consequences resulting from the expulsion decision have been cancelled.”

Al-Zeyoudi told Emirates Al-Youm: “The club submitted an official objection after the match regarding the expulsion, and we responded today by accepting the protest and dropping the red card for the player Khaled Abdullah.”

Khaled Abdullah was subjected to a direct red card as a result of his interference on a shared ball with an Ajman player.

Jassim Al-Zeyoudi added: “The response came very quickly, after only 24 hours, and I believe that this is one of the fastest times in which such cases are resolved and responded to.”

He continued: “The expulsion clearly affected the course of the match and its outcome, because the result at the time of the situation indicated a draw, before Dibba lost the match by two goals after a numerical deficiency.”

He continued: “Unfortunately, we lost the match, and there is no benefit after the mistake occurred, because the team and the audience paid the price of the arbitration decision.”

He stressed that “the club was confident of the correctness of its position when submitting the protest, noting that such decisions have a direct impact on the teams on the field.”
