The moment witnessed an exceptional atmosphere, after Lima took off his shirt and ran celebrating in front of the cameras, raising his shirt in joy at the historic goal, in a scene that reflected the magnitude of the achievement he achieved, in addition to his contribution in leading Al-Wasl to officially secure third place and ensure the end of the season among the adults.
After the final whistle sounded, Al Wasl players celebrated their teammate Fabio Lima, after carrying him on their shoulders in a scene that reflected their appreciation for the historic achievement he had achieved, while the few fans who accompanied the “Emperor” were keen to send a special greeting to the star amid a distinctive festive atmosphere on an exceptional night in his career.
The Brazilian star raised his score to 184 goals in the professional league, equaling Tigali’s number in second place on the list of all-time top scorers, while Ali Mabkhout still tops the list with 228 goals.
This achievement came in Fabio Lima’s 266th match for Al Wasl in the league, during his twelfth season with the “Emperor” since joining the team in 2014, to continue consolidating his position as one of the most prominent names that passed through Emirati football in the professional era.
Although the current season is considered one of his lowest scoring seasons, after he scored only 8 goals, Lima once again proved his ability to make a difference in decisive moments, and continue to write his name in prominent letters in the history of Al-Wasl and the Professional League.
