Today, Thursday, the Regional Center for Dust and Sand Storms recorded 108 hours of Dust cases in a number of countries in the region during May 13, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to monitor weather phenomena and analyze their environmental and climatic impacts, which contributes to strengthening Early warning and supporting the readiness of the concerned authorities.

The center explained that Jordan recorded the highest number of hours of dust cases with 27 hours, followed by Kazakhstan with 22 hours, then Iran with 20 hours, while Pakistan recorded 15 hours, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 11 hours, Iraq 7 hours, and Egypt 6 hours.

It indicated that no hours of dust cases were recorded in the rest of the countries of the region during the period. The same, which reflects differences in dust activity between countries depending on the prevailing weather conditions and the movement of Influencing climate systems.
