Al-Wasl ended its season with a difficult victory over its guest, Kalba, 2-1, in the match that brought them together this evening at Zabeel Stadium, in the presence of less than 500 spectators, in the twenty-sixth and final round of the Professional Football League, confirming that “The Emperor” finished the season in third place and guaranteed its participation in the elite AFC Champions League next season.

Al-Wasl opened the scoring early after Kalba defender Idris Maxso scored an own goal in the 10th minute, before Leandro Leite succeeded in equalizing for the visitors in the 20th minute.

In the second half, Colombian Miguel Borja gave the hosts the winning goal in the 79th minute, leading the “Yellow” to end the season in the best possible way.

With this result, Al Wasl raised its score to 48 points in third place, while Kalba’s score froze at 24 points to end the season in eleventh place.
