The Excellence Center for Technical Training supports youth creativity at the National Skills Exhibition 2026

ABU DHABI, 18th May / WAM / The Center of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training, affiliated with Emirates National Schools, is showcasing its latest training programs and initiatives during its participation in the National Skills Competition 2026 exhibition, the activities of which were launched today at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC) with the aim of empowering national competencies and developing the technical and vocational skills of young people, in line with future labor market requirements and enhancing the country’s orientations towards an economy based on knowledge and innovation.
In a statement to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Matthias Wegner, Director General of the Center of Excellence for Technical and Vocational Training of the Emirates National Schools, stressed the great importance of participating in the National Skills Competition 2026 exhibition, describing it as a prominent national platform to showcase the talents and creativity of young people in the UAE.
Wegner explained that, through its participation, the Center is keen to provide a supportive environment that enables students to highlight their skills in the fields of innovation, creativity and practical application, which contributes to inspiring them towards promising future career paths, noting that innovation is one of the basic elements of academic excellence that the Center seeks to establish.
The Center’s Director General added that the “Emirates Skills” platform allows students to build a bridge linking the academic aspect within the classroom and practical applications in reality, which enhances project-based learning skills and gives students an opportunity to prove their abilities and excellence in environments that simulate the real labor market.
