"Union trains" The first passenger station in Fujairah will be completed in preparation for operation during 2026

Fujairah, 19 May / WAM / Etihad Rail Company has completed the completion of Fujairah Passenger Station as its first station in preparation for gradual operation during the coming period of this year, which is located in the Crescent City area and has an area of ​​51,900 square metres.

Adhraa Al Mansouri, Executive Director of the Commercial Sector at Etihad Rail Passenger Services Company, said that the station is located in a strategic location in the Emirate of Fujairah and is close to landmarks and tourist sites, as the station is about 12 minutes from Fujairah International Airport, 6 minutes from the Umbrella Corniche, and 5 minutes from Sakamkam Castle.

She added that the station will have a major economic impact in the long term, through which it will witness a positive change in the transportation system for individuals and the mechanism of access to the Emirate of Fujairah. It will also provide investment opportunities in various sectors, which will be linked to the launch of passenger transportation services on routes in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, where the journey time from Fujairah to Abu Dhabi will be 105 minutes, and the train speed will reach 200 kilometers per hour and can accommodate 400 passengers.

70 percent of the materials were used in developing the national railway network from the local market and local suppliers, as their number reached 97 suppliers. In the first phase, the first three routes between Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah will be launched in parallel, as flight schedules will be announced as the operating date approaches through official channels.

The passenger experience will be diversified in terms of providing retail spaces, a VIP lounge, fast Wi-Fi service, and providing food carts inside the train.

The station also has a contemporary and modern design and integrated facilities that allow the passenger to use all services easily and quickly, in addition to providing directional signs, waiting spaces, a passenger service office, and automatic payment devices, which are considered among the most important priorities in making train users happy and creating an exceptional model in the train sector in the Emirates, which contributes to strengthening the transportation sector for individuals in a distinctive way.
