A crisis between Zamalek and its competitor, Ceramica, 24 hours before the Egyptian League deciding match

The Egyptian Ceramica Cleopatra Club confirmed that it had actually sent an official letter to the Egyptian Clubs Association waiving its share of tickets for its team’s match with Zamalek, scheduled for tomorrow evening, Wednesday, at Cairo Stadium in the final round of the Coronation Group competitions for the Egyptian League Championship.

Zamalek had issued a statement that caused a crisis with Ceramica Cleopatra, as it stated that there was nothing new regarding the quota allocated to our fans except the previously determined quota, which had already been officially presented to Zamalek fans on the (Tazkarti) website 48 hours ago.

The Zamalek statement added, “In order for the picture to be clear to our fans and club members, the club will announce through its official platforms any new developments in this situation, to ensure the principle of transparency with which the club deals with everyone.”

Ceramica responded in an official statement that it had already addressed the Egyptian Professional Clubs Association and Tazkarti Company, to notify them of waiving the club’s share of tickets for its match against Zamalek at the conclusion of the league, for the benefit of the White Castle fans.

Ceramica Cleopatra Club confirmed in its letter to the Club Association and Tazkarti Company that it has no objection to relinquishing its share of the tickets, which amount to 15,000 tickets, in favor of the Zamalek Club at Cairo Stadium.

Ceramica Cleopatra indicated in a media statement that it was committed to its decision and waived its share to the Zamalek fans, categorically denying all the quarrels that had been reported in the past hours regarding the club’s failure to send official letters.

Zamalek needs a draw in that match in order to officially win the Egyptian League title.
