المملكة: Riyadh.. 7 bridges to develop Othman bin Affan Road with King Salman Road


Started Implementing the project to develop Othman bin Affan Road with King Salman Road, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop and increasing their operational efficiency; In a way that enhances the flow of traffic and improves the quality of transportation in the capital.

The Authority explained that the project extends over a length of (4.3) km, and includes the implementation of seven new bridges and improvement of road lanes. This increases the hub’s capacity to about (500,000) vehicles per day, and enhances the connectivity between the vital hubs north of the city

Traffic Efficiency

The project includes developing the main intersections with King Salman and Anas bin Malik Roads, through an integrated system of bridges ranging between two and four lanes. This contributes to enhancing connectivity between the south and north of King Salman Road, shortening travel times, and raising the efficiency of traffic movement in the region.

In conjunction with the start of construction work, the Authority activated a temporary traffic diversion on the northern part of the road starting on Wednesday (May 20, 2026 AD), as part of an integrated traffic plan implemented in coordination with the relevant authorities; To ensure the flow of traffic at the highest levels of smoothness and safety.

Three lanes

The plan includes implementing the diversion in two stages, with the preparation of three main lanes in each direction, in addition to completing the advisory and warning signs, updating map applications and systems, and allocating an electronic page to follow up on the developments of the project and updates on the roads associated with it.

The project comes within the program to develop the ring and main road axes in the city of Riyadh, which includes the implementation and development of more than (500) km of the road network, by increasing the efficiency of existing axes, developing new roads, and enhancing interconnection between them; In support of building an integrated and sustainable urban transportation system, and achieving quality of life goals in the capital.
