The Postgraduate Research Conference in Sharjah reviews more than 600 scientific papers

Sharjah, May 20 / WAM / The University of Sharjah organized the annual United Arab Emirates Postgraduate Student Research Conference (UAEGSRC26), at the Medical Colleges and Health Sciences Complex, with the aim of providing an interactive academic platform that enhances the culture of scientific research and innovation, and allows young researchers to exchange knowledge and present their multidisciplinary projects.
His Excellency Professor Dr. Essam El-Din Ajami, Director of the University of Sharjah, during his opening speech in which he conveyed the greetings and aspirations of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah, stressed that improving the scientific research system represents a national responsibility that requires integrated efforts between higher education institutions to support the knowledge economy, calling on students to transform their research ideas into practical solutions that support sustainable development, indicating that the conference embodies the shared commitment to supporting the new generation of researchers.
Professor Dr. Muammar Battayeb, Vice Chancellor of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, explained that the conference received 832 scientific papers from 12 universities and research centers, 607 of which were accepted after being subjected to careful arbitration by 360 arbitrators. He indicated that the accepted papers were distributed in the fields of engineering, health and medical sciences, humanities and social sciences, and business administration, which reflects the importance of multidisciplinary studies in facing contemporary challenges.
The conference activities witnessed the holding of a round table session for university administrators and deans of graduate studies to discuss ways to enhance academic cooperation, in addition to a discussion session for students that addressed the reality of scientific research and its future prospects in the country, and honoring the participating universities, which constituted an ideal opportunity to build professional networks and expand the horizons of cooperation between various academic, governmental and private institutions.
