المملكة: The expansion of Quba Mosque and the surrounding squares enhances the efficiency of services provided to the guests of God
Attest Hajj, due to the religious and historical status that the mosque holds, as the first mosque established in Islam after the Prophet’s migration, amid an atmosphere of faith and spirituality, and guidance and organizational efforts to enable visitors to perform prayers easily and safely.
The Medina Development Authority, the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, and the relevant authorities are working to provide an integrated system of services inside and around the mosque, with the aim of facilitating the movement of pilgrims and creating the appropriate atmosphere.
Expansion and development of the squares
The services include organizing the entry and exit of visitors, managing crowds, and providing security and guidance teams working around the clock to ensure the safety of pilgrims, and the smooth flow of movement inside the mosque, and the surrounding squares covered with umbrellas, and a network of water spray fans, to cool the atmosphere and protect worshipers from direct sunlight.
In the Quba Mosque, worshipers of several nationalities flock to the historic mosque, as services are provided to them. Awareness, including lessons, lectures, and guidance programs in several languages, with the aim of educating pilgrims about the provisions of rituals, in addition to providing health and emergency services, drinking water, and rest areas for visitors, and intensifying cleaning and sterilization work, while expansion and development work has added an aesthetic character to the parts of the mosque and its courtyards.
This year’s Hajj season witnesses benefiting from the expansion and development work of the courtyards surrounding Quba Mosque, within the project of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. To expand and develop the Quba Mosque and its surrounding squares, with the aim of increasing the mosque’s capacity, and improving its facilities and services, in a way that contributes to receiving the increasing numbers of pilgrims and visitors, and reflects the level of care that the Kingdom gives to the guests of God, as part of its efforts to improve the services provided to them, and achieve the highest levels of comfort and organization.
