An offer of $5 million brings Kuzmin closer to the island

A Romanian newspaper highlighted Al-Jazira Club’s negotiations with coach Elario Cosmin to take over the team’s training starting next season.

Emirates Al-Youm had quoted a source close to the Romanian coach that he might return to training in the professional league if he left his current position as coach of the national team.

The newspaper “Sport” reported that attention is once again turning to the Romanian coach, Cosmin Olario, who is close to returning to the world of coaching clubs in the UAE League, pointing out that he has received a tempting offer from Al Jazira Club for a contract during the coming period, after he was close to leaving the UAE national team.

The newspaper pointed out that Al Jazira’s management placed “Caesar” at the top of its list of technical options, in light of the club’s desire to sign a name with long experience in the UAE league, especially since the Romanian coach had previously led major clubs in the country and achieved remarkable successes with them.

She added: “The negotiations between the two parties have reached advanced stages, as it is expected that the financial offer proposed will be among the highest in the region. He may receive an annual salary of about five million dollars, which will make him one of the highest paid coaches in the league.”

She continued: “The information indicates that Olario is close to having a new experience with the clubs after only one year of assuming the task of coaching the UAE national team, a period that witnessed mixed results in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, before attention turned to the possibility of his quick return to daily work with the clubs.”

She continued: “The Romanian coach has a strong coaching record in the Emirates, as he led clubs such as Al Ain, Shabab Al Ahly and Al Sharjah to win 16 different titles, which strengthened his position as one of the most successful foreign coaches in the history of Emirati football.”

She continued: “If the deal is completed, Olario’s return to Al Jazira Club will be a new chapter in his career within the region, especially since the club aspires to restore its competitive position locally and continentally by hiring a coach with long experience in regional tournaments.”
