More than half a million people benefited from it -"Crescent" The Qurbani project is implemented in 45 countries

Abu Dhabi, May 29 / WAM / 50,000 people within the country benefited from the sacrificial animals and Eid clothing project implemented by the Emirates Red Crescent Authority since the first day of Eid Al Adha. More than 500,000 people in 45 countries around the world also benefited from the project.

The Authority was keen to deliver the sacrificial animals to those entitled to them in all the emirates of the country with ease and ease, as the sacrificial meat was delivered to the beneficiaries in their locations through the Red Crescent volunteer teams that continued their work during the blessed days of Eid, to facilitate the process of obtaining their entitlements from the sacrificial meat.

The Authority said that its strategy regarding the sacrifice project aimed to increase the number of beneficiaries within the country this year, as 5,000 sacrifices were provided, benefiting 50,000 people throughout the country.

Regarding the implementation of the sacrificial project outside the country, the Red Crescent Authority explained that the project came this year in difficult humanitarian circumstances as a result of the economic hardship that many people are experiencing, in addition to the severity of crises and disasters, and the scarcity of food and its high prices. Therefore, it was keen to expand the umbrella of beneficiaries of the sacrificial project outside the country, to include more than 500,000 beneficiaries around the world, pointing out that it worked in coordination with its partners abroad to implement the project to the fullest extent.

The Red Crescent Authority praised the support of philanthropists and philanthropists for the sacrifice campaign, and their response to its activities that were launched at the state level well before the advent of Eid Al-Adha, which contributed to expanding the umbrella of supporters, donors and supporters of the campaign.
