UAE Experts Program launches "Artificial Intelligence track" This June

Abu Dhabi, 1st June / WAM / The UAE Experts Program – “Artificial Intelligence Path” – will be launched this June, in line with the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims to integrate artificial intelligence solutions into various government operations and vital strategic sectors.
The “Artificial Intelligence Path”, within the Emirates Experts Program, supports five main goals in the Emirates National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which are to strengthen the UAE’s position as a global center for artificial intelligence, enhance competitiveness in vital sectors by expanding applications of artificial intelligence, accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence in government services, developing Emirati competencies to fill jobs that depend on artificial intelligence, and linking advanced research and infrastructure with real-world application.
The “Artificial Intelligence Track” is scheduled to include an elite group of national cadres within 25 vital sectors. The participants will undergo intensive training in several fields, including artificial intelligence systems, governance, and leadership, participate in a number of international study trips, and work on graduation projects designed to confront real challenges at the national level, under the direct supervision of mentors.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Shamsi, Director of the Emirates Experts Program, said: “The UAE has succeeded in establishing its leading position as an incubating environment for artificial intelligence in the world, and with the launch of the path of artificial intelligence, the focus will now be on moving from adopting artificial intelligence technologies to employing them efficiently and leading their development, which will contribute to preparing national cadres capable of formulating policies and enhancing the country’s global competitiveness for decades to come.”
He added: “The launch of the artificial intelligence path within the Emirates Experts Program coincides with the announcement of the new system of the UAE government, which aims to transform 50% of government sectors, services and operations to implement self-executing and driving artificial intelligence models within two years,” explaining that unlike traditional systems; These models are characterized by their ability to carry out tasks and manage complex operations independently, as the artificial intelligence path focuses on preparing national cadres capable of dealing with these systems and managing them responsibly within vital sectors and operational environments.
In a related context; The selection process included conducting in-depth interviews with a number of artificial intelligence experts, along with colleagues and graduates of the Emirates Experts Program.
Professor Hoda Al-Khuzaimi, spokeswoman for the Emirates Experts Program “Artificial Intelligence Track” said: “During the interviews and selection discussions, many candidates emerged from an advanced awareness of the UAE National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, and a clear understanding that the next stage depends on the effective institutional application of artificial intelligence, noting the exceptional level of ambition and competence of a number of candidates, and their high potential to make a local and global impact, add real value to sectors, and enhance the country’s competitiveness.”
It is worth noting that the launch of the “Artificial Intelligence Path” within the Emirates Experts Program is an extension of the momentum that the UAE is witnessing in the field of adopting advanced technology and artificial intelligence, as recent international indicators have ranked it among the world’s leading countries in institutional readiness and adoption of artificial intelligence at the government level. Investments in digital infrastructure and building national capabilities constitute a basic basis for supporting this path and developing its future outcomes.
