Ahmed bin Saud inspects the progress of work at the Al Dara border crossing in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah, June 10 / WAM / Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Public Services Department of Ras Al Khaimah, Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Ports Security and Development Committee, today inspected the progress of work at the Al Dara border crossing in the emirate, which links the United Arab Emirates to the sister Sultanate of Oman, as part of the initiatives projects of His Highness the President of the State.

During the visit, Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud was briefed on the progress of the work of replacing and establishing the port, customs operations, and the modern equipment used to inspect and inspect goods, which contributes to enhancing performance efficiency and accelerating the completion of procedures, in addition to the measures followed to facilitate the movement of trade and arriving and departing travelers.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud praised the advanced level reached by the work system at the Al Dara border port, and the efforts of Ras Al Khaimah Customs in developing the inspection, inspection, control and audit systems at its ports, in a way that enhances the efficiency of customs work and supports the smooth movement of passengers and goods.

He praised the efforts of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security in applying the best practices to ensure the facilitation of the movement of passengers and goods, pointing out that the border ports represent the face of the country and the first impression of its visitors, which requires continuing to develop services, and employing the latest technologies to facilitate the procedures for arrivals and departures, and to complete their transactions quickly and efficiently.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud directed the workers at the port to continue developing performance, simplifying procedures, raising the level of services, and continuing to perform their duties in accordance with the approved strategic plans, in a way that enhances the security of society and improves the quality of services provided to customers.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Saud was accompanied during the visit by His Excellency Dr. Rashid Rashid Al Mahrezi, Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Customs, Vice Chairman of the Ras Al Khaimah Ports Security and Development Committee, and a number of officials.
