المملكة: Committing 25 government sectors to digital strategies extending over 5 years
Issued Digital Government Authority The first version of the document governing the construction and governance of digital strategies; To oblige all sectors and government agencies to unify digital transformation efforts, and align their plans with national trends to improve the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
The Authority explained that these regulatory controls come with the aim of enabling sectors to develop integrated strategies that prevent duplication, improve resource utilization, and raise spending efficiency Digital Transformation.
The Authority allocated the third axis to impose exceptional provisions for security and military agencies, taking careful account of the sensitivity of their data and classifications, with the requirement that physical field visits be conducted by the Authority’s specialists to review initiative documents and approve them in accordance with the entity’s strict security regulations.
Controls for Supporting Digital Transformation
The new controls stressed the need for government agencies to commit to building their digital strategies for periods ranging from three to five years, provided that they include plans Detailed annual executive and specific financial budgets for each initiative and targeted project.
The regulatory guidelines highlighted the importance of preparing administrative structures and clear operational models that support the desired transformation, in addition to implementing intensive change management programs, spreading digital culture among leaders and employees, and qualifying them professionally to lead the change phase.
