Zero in the academic subject for the first violation and in all subjects for repetition

With the start of the end-of-semester exams for the third semester of the academic year 2025-2026 approaching, public and private school administrations have stressed the application of strict disciplinary measures against students who violate the exam regulations, stressing that cheating, attempting it, or helping others during exams may result in direct failure in the academic subject, while the punishment for repeating the violation amounts to assigning a “zero” grade in all academic subjects and being prohibited from taking repeat exams.
Schools circulated a guide to combating cheating and disrupting the testing system approved by the Ministry of Education, to students and parents. The guide, which Emirates Today viewed, confirmed that violations include 5 types, the most prominent of which are: disclosing or leaking test content inside or outside the exam halls, deliberately destroying answer sheets, cheating or providing assistance to others by any means, in addition to possessing or using unauthorized means or tools inside the exam hall, impersonation or tampering with official school documents or documents. Exams, in addition to any other practices that constitute a violation of the examination system.
According to the disciplinary procedures approved in the details of the manual, a student who commits a violation for the first time is subject to a deduction of 12 points of conduct, and a grade of “zero” is recorded in the academic subject subject to the violation, whether the cheating was direct, in collaboration with others, or by intentionally destroying the answer sheet, and he is prohibited from taking the retake exam for the same subject, in addition to summoning the guardian immediately to inform him of the violation and to sign the warning and decision issued against the student.
The controls confirmed that the penalties become more stringent when the violation is repeated, as an additional 12 grades of behavior are deducted, and a “zero” grade is monitored in all academic subjects for which the student applies, while he is deprived of taking repeat exams, and the guardian is summoned to sign the warning and decision, in addition to referring the student to “behavior correction” programs in coordination with the competent authorities according to the nature of the case.
These measures come within the efforts of the Ministry of Education to maintain the integrity of exams, ensure equal opportunities among students, and consolidate the values ​​of academic honesty and school discipline, especially during the final exam period, which witnesses close follow-up by school administrations and exam committees.
School administrations called on students to fully adhere to the instructions governing the tests, to ensure that they do not bring any unauthorized tools or means into the exam halls, and to focus on academic preparation and organized review instead of resorting to any practices that might expose them to disciplinary penalties that affect their results and academic progress.
She also urged parents to make their children aware of the seriousness of cheating violations and the resulting academic and behavioral effects, stressing that adherence to regulations and instructions is the basic guarantee for passing exams in a fair and organized atmosphere that reflects the principle of entitlement and merit.
