المملكة: Honoring 50 recipients of the British Teaching and Learning Fellowship at the Excellence Meeting at Princess Nourah University

Princess Noura bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the Deanship of Development and Quality, “Excellence Meeting” under the slogan “Forum: Inspiring the Future of Education,” to honor “50” recipients of the British Teaching and Learning Fellowship, at the University’s Conference and Seminar Center.
The meeting came in its fifth edition, including honoring the recipients of the British Teaching and Learning Fellowship during the current academic year from the British Higher Education Academy “Advance HE,” in addition to celebrating the university’s fellowship tally, which amounted to “290” fellowships, which reflects the university’s efforts to support Professional development for educational staff members and enhancing their presence in academic excellence indicators.
Details and activities of the meeting
The meeting focused on enhancing professional appreciation in higher education, introducing the services of the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Program and its achievements, in addition to supporting educational staff members with the latest practices in teaching and learning and applications of artificial intelligence in education.
The meeting included a speech by the Dean of Development and Quality, Dr. Alaa Al-Luhaidan, and a speech by the Director of the Excellence in Teaching and Learning Program, Dr. Ola Al-Shurafa, to Next to the speech of the main speaker, founder of the Academic Success at Alfaisal University, Dr. Emily Wilson.
Various Discussion Sessions
The meeting included a discussion session entitled “The Fellowship’s Journey and Its Impact,” with the participation of female speakers from university leaders and members of the educational staff, in addition to contributions from external academic bodies, who discussed the impact of the British Teaching and Learning Fellowship in professional development, and its implications on educational practices and the academic path.
The meeting also covered 4 professional courses, which discussed topics of harnessing artificial intelligence. And learning analytics to improve teaching and assessment, the future of education, and team-based learning, in addition to strategies to enhance interaction, communication and inspiration within the classroom.
It is noteworthy that Princess Nourah University has the accreditation of the Academic Excellence Program from the British Academy of Higher Education “Advance HE”, which contributes to enabling it to support its female academic staff members to obtain the British Teaching and Learning Fellowship, and enhance its efforts in developing academic competencies and raising the quality of teaching and learning practices.
