Dubai Chambers is looking to enhance trade and investment with Canada’s Saskatchewan
Regina – Canada, June 23 / WAM / During a meeting in the Canadian city of Regina with His Excellency Scott Moe, Prime Minister of the Province of Saskatchewan, Dubai Chambers discussed ways to enhance trade and investment flows between Dubai and Saskatchewan, one of the most prominent Canadian provinces rich in natural and agricultural resources and wealth, in addition to developing joint work between business communities and opening new paths of cooperation.
The Chambers explained in a press release today that the Dubai Chambers delegation, with the participation of His Excellency Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, and His Excellency Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, Director General of Dubai Chambers, discussed with the Canadian side mechanisms for expanding the scope of trade and investment partnerships in priority sectors, in a way that supports achieving development goals and sustainable growth.
His Excellency Engineer Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri said that the strategic ties between Dubai and Canada embody an advanced model of cooperation based on a shared vision of innovation, sustainable growth, and openness to future opportunities. These foundations constitute a strong basis for moving bilateral relations to more advanced stages of cooperation, by building strategic partnerships that keep pace with global economic transformations and open new horizons for growth and investment.
He added that Dubai continues to consolidate its role as a global hub for trade and investment, benefiting from an ambitious vision, an integrated economic system, and world-class infrastructure, which enhances its ability to connect the business community with qualitative opportunities in international markets, which provides Canadian companies with an ideal platform for growth, expansion, and access to markets that include more than two billion consumers in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
He expressed his aspiration to establish a new phase of cooperation and integration between Dubai and Canada, based on benefiting from promising opportunities and strengthening qualitative partnerships, in order to achieve sustainable value and support the process of common prosperity.
The visit comes in light of Dubai’s increasing attractiveness to Canadian businessmen and investors, as the number of active Canadian companies registered as members of the Dubai Chamber increased from 1,165 companies during 2020 to 4,667 companies by the end of 2025, a growth of 300% during this period.
The province of Saskatchewan is distinguished by being one of the richest Canadian provinces in natural resources, a global center for the production of potash used in fertilizers, and one of the largest producers of uranium, grains and legumes in the world, in addition to possessing important reserves of oil, gas and strategic minerals such as lithium.
Opportunities for trade and investment cooperation with Dubai stand out, especially in the sectors of food security, fertilizers, energy, and critical minerals used in clean energy technologies and batteries, taking advantage of Dubai’s location as a global center for trade and re-export to the Middle East, Africa and Asian markets.
The visit is part of a series of international trade missions organized by Dubai Chambers within the framework of the “Corridors of Growth” initiative, which aims to enhance the prospects for trade and investment cooperation between Dubai and promising global markets.
