Croatia beats Ghana 2-1 and reaches the round of 32

Croatia qualified for the round of 32 of the FIFA World Cup, beating Ghana 2-1 on Saturday, local time in Philadelphia, in the third and final round of Group Twelve.

Petar Sučić (31), Nikola Vlašic (83) and Ghana’s Derek Lucassen (73) scored for Croatia, raising their score to 6 points in runner-up in Group Twelve, one point ahead of England, the leaders and winner at the same time over Panama 2-0.

In the second round, Croatia will play with the runner-up of Group Eleven in Toronto, England with Senegal or the third in Group Eleven in Atlanta, and Ghana (4 points), which had secured its qualification on Friday with the champion of Group Eleven.
