"Emirates Medicine" It discusses developments in the shift towards assisted artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical sector
Dubai, June 29 / WAM / During its meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of His Excellency Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajri, Minister of State and Chairman of the Board of Directors, the Artificial Intelligence Agenda Committee at the Emirates Pharmaceutical Corporation discussed the latest developments in implementing the shift towards assistive artificial intelligence (Agentic AI) in the regulatory work of the pharmaceutical sector, with the participation of Her Excellency Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, Director General of the Corporation, and members of the committee.
The committee discussed applications of artificial intelligence in drug registration, control, inspection and supply chain processes, enhancing data integration and developing performance indicators, and reviewed plans to enable regulatory processes to enhance drug security and raise readiness to confront global changes.
His Excellency Saeed Al Hajri stressed that the UAE continues to consolidate its global position in adopting and employing assistive artificial intelligence across vital sectors, pointing out that its adoption in the pharmaceutical sector represents a qualitative step towards a more efficient and proactive system, which supports the country’s position as a global center for innovation and advanced regulation.
Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi explained that the adoption of assistive artificial intelligence represents a qualitative shift in work mechanisms, as it contributes to accelerating data analysis and supporting proactive decision-making, which enhances the efficiency of supervisory operations and increases the ability to respond to future changes with greater efficiency and flexibility.
This trend reflects the Emirates Drug Corporation’s keenness to develop a more efficient and flexible system capable of keeping pace with global transformations and enhancing the quality of decisions at various stages of work.
