release "Sharjah Arts Radio" Online
Sharjah, June 29 / WAM / The Sharjah Arts Foundation announced the launch of “Sharjah Arts Radio”, a new online radio platform concerned with broadcasting music, sounds and stories from the region and the world, through bilingual programming (Arabic and English).
The radio offers musical programs and cultural content, in addition to temporary live broadcasts and musical selections prepared by artists, in addition to archival recordings from the Foundation’s holdings, allowing listening experiences that combine contemporary works and archival materials.
Radio aims to provide a space that explores the evolution of musical traditions across generations and cultures, and to enhance listening experiences through content based on narrative and cultural diversity.
The radio opened its seasonal programming with the “Voices” program, which includes 12 episodes, each one hour long, and presents musical selections based on the atmosphere and emotional state, reflecting the diversity of listening experiences across different cultures.
The Foundation confirmed that the radio will work to expand its programs in the future to include live broadcasts and cooperation with artists, musicians and cultural practitioners, in a way that supports creative production and enhances cultural exchange through sound.
