"Sharjah District" and"Microsoft" They review global trends in the field of artificial intelligence

Sharjah, 2 July / WAM / The Sharjah Judicial Department, in cooperation with Microsoft, organized today at the House of Wisdom an interactive session entitled “How Artificial Intelligence is Changing the Digital Judicial World”, in the presence of Sheikh Majid bin Sultan bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Head of the Suburbs Affairs Department, His Excellency Judge Dr. Muhammad Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of the Sharjah Judicial Department, and members of the Judicial Council, along with a number of officials, experts and specialists in the field of artificial intelligence.

His Excellency Judge Dr. Muhammad Obaid Al Kaabi stressed that artificial intelligence has become an essential pillar for developing the digital judicial system by simplifying procedures, raising performance efficiency, improving the quality of services, and enhancing the speed of completion in a way that supports human competencies and consolidates the confidence of customers in the justice system. He praised the strategic partnership with Microsoft in employing the latest technologies to support digital transformation in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan. Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, for development and innovation projects in the judicial sector.

The session reviewed the latest global trends in the field of artificial intelligence and its role in developing the judicial sector by supporting decision-making, enhancing the efficiency of processes and procedures, and raising the quality of services provided to customers, which contributes to building a more efficient and proactive digital judicial system.

The session discussed the future opportunities offered by artificial intelligence applications in developing judicial services, in addition to the challenges and considerations associated with adopting smart solutions in keeping with the trends of the UAE and the Emirate of Sharjah in the areas of digital transformation and government innovation.

The session witnessed a number of specialized presentations from Microsoft experts that addressed the latest applications of artificial intelligence in the judicial environment and its role in reducing the time of completing transactions, accelerating litigation procedures, enhancing the accuracy of legal translation, and analyzing data to support decision-making, which contributes to improving the customer experience and raising the efficiency of judicial work.

The program included a demo of artificial intelligence applications in the judicial work environment and reviewed the concept of the smart legal assistant and its ability to support judges and judicial staff in completing tasks, analyzing legal precedents, and preparing summaries in a way that enhances the quality of performance and raises the efficiency of the judicial system.
