The organizing committee reveals the programs of the Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival 2026 with the participation of 30 parties

ABU DHABI, 2nd July, 2026 (WAM) – The Organizing Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Summer Festival 2026 announced the details of the first edition during the period from 6th July to 23rd August next, in Al Wathba, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him”, and under the follow-up and supervision of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the UAE, Deputy Prime Minister and Chief of the Presidential Office.
This came during a press conference held today at the Sheikh Zayed Festival headquarters in Al Wathba, in the presence of the strategic partners, where the comprehensive vision and detailed objectives of the festival were reviewed, which represents the first and largest summer platform that combines education, entertainment, sports, innovation and future-making in the region, with the participation of 30 governmental, academic and sports bodies, and 3,000 programs and workshops.
The conference was attended by Abdullah Butti Al Muhairi, member of the organizing committee, Colonel Mohammed Bakhit Al Menhali, representative of the Abu Dhabi Police General Command, Her Excellency Dr. Omniyat Mohammed Al Hajri, Executive Director of the Community Health Sector at the Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fatima Bint Mubarak Academy for Women’s Sports, Mubarak Ali Al Qasili, representative of the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Suhail Al Arifi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Dr. Thuraya Al Salmi, representative of the Ministry of Education, and Mona Al Dhaheri. Representative of the Department of Education and Knowledge in Abu Dhabi, Dr. Khadija Ahmed Mohammed, Director of the Skills Department, representative of the Abu Dhabi Center for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (ICTAFAT), Aisha Markhan, representative of the Higher Colleges of Technology, Mohammed Al Shehhi, representative of the Cybersecurity Council, Rawda Al Muraikhi, representative of the Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence, Colonel Issa Al Marzouqi, representative of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority, and Ghanem Ahmed, Director of Events Management at the festival.
During the conference, the speakers and partners reviewed the goals and strategic dimensions of the festival, which directs its programs and activities to male and female students aged 6 to 18 years, with the aim of strengthening national identity, Emirati heritage and belonging, preserving resources and environmental awareness, in addition to providing interactive educational experiences that bring participants together in one knowledge space, and contribute to developing leadership, technical and physical skills, through four main axes: the educational and cognitive axis, the creative entertainment axis, and the community axis. Values, health and sports axis.
Abdullah Butti Al Muhairi stressed that the Royal Patronage represents a source of inspiration and motivation to present national work worthy of the status of the UAE, and embodies the vision of the wise leadership in investing in people as the goal, the means, and the true wealth of the nation, so that the festival is more than just an entertainment or seasonal program, but rather a comprehensive national platform in which knowledge meets identity, creativity with values, and heritage with technology.
Mohammed bin Zayed University for Artificial Intelligence offers the “World of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation” pavilion, which includes nine practical programs and competitions, including artificial intelligence in daily life, artificial intelligence tools and applications, making games using artificial intelligence techniques, creativity in generating texts and designs, entrepreneurship, simulating practical challenges, simulating the World Economic Forum, the Great Artificial Intelligence Challenge, and competitions for developing smart solutions.
For its part, the Cybersecurity Council presents the “Cybersecurity Workshop,” which includes awareness and interactive programs to build digitally aware generations capable of protecting data, and includes awareness of refuting electronic rumors, modern media dangers, and the “Little Media” program in cooperation with Majid Channel, the Creative Media Authority, and the Abu Dhabi Media Network, in addition to specialized workshops to raise awareness of electronic fraud and information security.
The Abu Dhabi Civil Defense Authority participates through the “World of Safety and Emergency Response” with practical workshops that include prevention of home accidents, awareness of injuries and ways to prevent them, and basic first aid, while the Abu Dhabi Police General Command presents the “Community Safety Journey,” which includes security and traffic awareness programs, cybersecurity programs, developing a sense of security, and the “Future Policeman” program.
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council supervises the “Sports and Vitality City”, which offers programs in electronic archery, table tennis, football, judo, jiu-jitsu, basketball, bow and arrow, chess, yoga for women, and Muay Thai. The Emirates Foundation launches a group of community and value-based programs, including Emirati customs and council etiquette, national identity activities under the title “Masrah”, the “Takatuf” program for volunteer work, workshops for learning to ride horses and camels, and lifestyle programs. Healthy.
The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority also participates through the “Safe Food World” pavilion, which offers “small farmer” workshops, food safety, and food waste reduction, while the Department of Education and Knowledge organizes the “Talent Discovery Week,” which includes workshops on handicrafts, theatre, drawing, playing music, sports activities, innovation, photography, and digital content creation.
The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works offers workshops on glass painting, laser engraving, traditional Emirati crafts, and 3D printing, and the participation of the Abu Dhabi Public Health Center includes the “Health Awareness Platform,” and includes programs for public health ambassadors, emergency preparedness, first aid, healthy sleep, physical activity, oral and dental health, and preparing a healthy food box.
The National Archives and the National Library also participate in programs on digital memory, arts and cultural creativity, reading and knowledge, archival sciences, and the “A Writer Leaves a Trace” program, while the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority presents the “Heritage Corner,” which includes workshops on Emirati crafts, traditional crafts, Emirati cuisine arts, and folk games.
