"Dewa" Its smart headquarters provides 46 electric charging points to support green mobility

Dubai, July 4 / WAM / The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has provided 46 charging points for electric vehicles as part of the “Green Charger” initiative at its new headquarters in the “Al Sheraa” building, which is the tallest, largest and smartest energy-positive government building in the world, where 40 points have been allocated for employees and 6 points for visitors.
His Excellency Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of the Authority, confirmed that this step embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him”, in transforming sustainability into a way of life, and supports the country’s strategies for climate neutrality and green mobility to reduce carbon emissions.
It is noteworthy that the total charging points in Dubai reached 2,223 points by the end of the first quarter of this year, thanks to the regulatory framework established by the Authority to promote sustainable mobility solutions.
