“The most difficult match.” The Moroccan coach comments on the confrontation with Canada

Moroccan national team coach Mohamed Wehbe confirmed that the “Atlas Lions” will play the most difficult match in the 2026 World Cup when they meet Canada in the eighth final.
Wehbe said in a press conference before the confrontation: “I am a frank person when I talk to the players. I told them that it is the most important match and the most difficult match, and I make few mistakes.”
He added: “The Canadians’ pace of work, their enthusiasm, and their desire to control every detail with and without the ball. They have a real identity and are confident in their advantages and want to implement them while they focus on confronting us. These are all reasons that make our task more difficult.”
Wehbe confirmed the readiness of all the players for the match, including Crystal Palace’s English defender Shadi Riyad, who suffered an injury to his left knee against the Netherlands. He said, “He received a blow to the knee in the last match, but the matter is not that serious, and all the players are 100% ready.”
