Moroccan Saibari is out injured during the confrontation with Canada in the quarter-finals

Morocco national team striker Ismail Saibari was injured a third of an hour after the start of the “Atlas Lions” confrontation with Canada, on Saturday, in the 16-final of the FIFA World Cup in Houston.

Saibari’s departure represents a major blow to Morocco, which ranked fourth in the 2022 World Cup, after he scored three goals for them in the group stage.

Saibari (25 years old), who scored 12 goals in 35 international matches with Morocco, grabbed his thigh muscles, before striker Sofiane Rahimi replaced him.

Saibari is considered one of the stars of the tournament, and the German club Bayern Munich announced a few days ago that he was officially included from the Dutch club PSV Eindhoven in a deal amounting to 50 million euros (about 57 million dollars), according to reports.
