He said in a joint press conference with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: "I think she’s a nice person actually"

He added: "Our relationship was bad… Things got a little worse because she refused to help us… and refused to intervene in the Strait of Hormuz issue"He expressed his disappointment with Europe’s reluctance to play a role in the American-Israeli war on Iran.

He continued: "I like her, and I think she’s actually a nice person, but I think she made a mistake…she wasn’t supportive of us, and that didn’t sit well with me."

Trump strongly criticized European NATO countries ahead of the Ankara meeting, while the allies seek to emphasize increased defense spending in an effort to please him.
