The National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector stressed to sector organizations the necessity of adhering to the controls of heavy transport of goods and private transport of passengers by buses, and completing the issuance of the necessary licenses to avoid the approved statutory penalties.

The Center sent an official circular to the heads of the boards of directors and trustees of associations, civil institutions and family funds, stressing “the importance of adhering to the instructions and controls issued by the regulating body.”

He explained that this procedure contributes to raising Public safety level when practicing non-commercial heavy transport activity, or private passenger transport activity.

This directive comes based on the land transport system on roads issued by royal decree, and the executive regulations issued by the Board of Directors of the Public Transport Authority.

These legislations include the executive regulations for heavy goods transport activity, and the regulations for private passenger transport activity by buses.

The CEO of the center, Ahmed Al-Suwailem, stated that completing licenses and permits To carry out these activities ensures compliance and avoids the penalties stipulated in the regulations. The center bases its tasks on its organization issued by a decision of the Council of Ministers, which aims to activate the role of sector organizations and expand their development contributions in integration with government efforts.
