"Khalifa for humanitarian work": 4,188 beneficiaries of the mass wedding initiative
Abu Dhabi, July 25 / WAM / The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Work continues to support young citizens about to get married through the mass wedding initiative, which embodies the values of community solidarity and contributes to alleviating the financial burdens associated with marriage and enhancing family stability, in line with the goals of the “Year of the Family 2026” in building stable and cohesive families.
During the year 2026, the Foundation organized two group weddings in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi, benefiting 2,738 brides and grooms, bringing the total beneficiaries of the initiative since its launch to 4,188 brides and grooms.
The Foundation provides an integrated package of support to participants, including contributing to reducing the costs of marriage and providing the groom’s requirements and equipment for the wedding day, which helps young people start their married lives with confidence and stability, and encourages them to marry without major financial burdens.
The initiative reflects the Foundation’s role in consolidating the values of community cohesion and solidarity, through its implementation in cooperation with supporting and partner agencies, in a way that contributes to supporting family stability, enhancing the quality of life, and consolidating the concept of social responsibility, based on its belief that a stable family represents the basic pillar of a cohesive and sustainable society.
This initiative comes within the framework of the wise leadership’s keenness to facilitate marriage for young citizens, and to enhance community cohesion, thus contributing to building a strong and cohesive society.
Organizing mass weddings, in conjunction with the Year of the Family 2026, also reflects the state’s interest in consolidating the authentic social values on which the Emirati family is based, and celebrating its pivotal role in building a prosperous society, in addition to enabling young people to start their family lives in an atmosphere of stability and confidence.
