Kash Patel… Trump’s nominee to run the FBI

US President-elect, Donald Trump, nominated Kash Patel, who is loyal to him, and who served as his advisor during his first term and who is known for his criticism of the so-called “deep state,” to take over the management of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
The announcement means that current FBI Director Christopher Wray, who was appointed to a 10-year term in 2017, will have to step down or be fired.
Under the leadership of Wray, who was appointed by Trump, the office investigated the Republican president, making the institution vulnerable to sharp criticism from conservatives.
Trump said on his platform, “Truth Social,” that: “Cash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and fighter for (America First). He spent his professional life exposing corruption, defending justice, and protecting the American people.”
High positions
Patel (44 years old), the son of immigrants from India and the author of a book on the “deep state,” held a number of senior positions during Trump’s first term (2017-2021), and worked in the Ministry of Defense (the Pentagon) and was an advisor to the National Security Council.
Patel’s book revolves around the “deep state” theory, widely spread among supporters of the president-elect, which says that government officials from various sectors implement a policy that is not always subject to Trump’s decisions, and may even sometimes conflict with them.
A sworn enemy
Trump appointed Christopher Wray to the FBI to succeed James Comey, who became a sworn enemy of the Republican billionaire after investigating his suspected links with Russia, which is accused of interfering in the 2016 presidential election that Trump won over then-Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.
The investigation led by the federal police into the attack launched by Trump supporters on the Capitol building on January 6, 2021, made this conservative institution, which since its founding more than a century ago has always enjoyed the support of politicians, vulnerable to attacks and criticism.
This was especially fueled after the 2022 search of Trump’s home in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, where federal police confiscated “secret” documents.
Trump said, “Cash did an amazing job during my first term,” adding that his mission would be “to end the growing crime epidemic in America, dismantle criminal gangs, and end the malicious scourge of human trafficking and cross-border drug smuggling.”
Violent speech
Trump – who pledged during his 2016 election campaign to build a wall along the Mexican border to prevent immigrants from entering the United States – directed violent rhetoric towards immigrants throughout his campaign.
Last Monday, Trump raised concerns after he confirmed his desire to increase customs duties on products imported from Mexico and Canada, and vowed to keep them in place until drugs, especially “fentanyl,” were stopped, and the flow of illegal immigrants was prevented.
Anti-drugs
US President-elect, Donald Trump, who will be inaugurated on January 20, has nominated Chad Chronister to head the Federal Drug Enforcement Agency.
Trump wrote on Truth Social: “Chad will work with the great Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to secure the border, stop the flow of fentanyl and illegal drugs across the southern border, and save lives.”
Bondi, a staunch Trump ally and former Florida prosecutor, was chosen by the president-elect to lead the Justice Department.
The appointment of Bondi and Kash Patel, both of whom are close supporters of the president-elect, indicates that Trump is interested in appointing like-minded people who are ready to implement his political vision.
