Honoring the winners of the Sharjah Award for Fine Critical Research

Sharjah, December 11 / WAM / Today, at its headquarters, the Sharjah Department of Culture honored the winners of the fifteenth session of the Sharjah Fine Critical Research Award, which is organized by the Department of Cultural Affairs in the Department under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, under the title “ The Arab world in artistic Orientalism… aesthetic cultural dimensions.” His Excellency Abdullah bin Muhammad Al Owais, Head of the Department of Culture, announced the winners of this session of the award, namely Abdullah Al-Sheikh from Morocco won first place for his research, “The Arab World in Artistic Orientalism, Cultural and Aesthetic Dimensions,” and Atef Saad from Egypt won second place for his research, “The Aesthetic and Plastic Vision of Orientalist Artists for Equestrian Scenes in Egypt During the 13th Century AH/19 AD.”

The honoring ceremony was attended by Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Qaseer, Director of the Department of Cultural Affairs, Secretary-General of the Award, along with the winners, the jury, the audience of artists, and those interested in research.

Muhammad Ibrahim Al Qaseer praised the continuous patronage of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for the award, which created a distinguished position for the award as a pioneer in the field of Arab fine art criticism, and over a period of more than 15 years, it strengthened the presence of the aesthetic visual concept on the one hand and supported Arab critics on the other hand.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, Abdullah Al Owais and Muhammad Al Qaseer honored the award winners and the jury with certificates and commemorative shields.
