The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, headed by Engineer Yasser Idris, continues to manage the organizational and administrative matters of the committee normally until the next elections are held to choose a new board of directors for the 2024/2028 electoral cycle.
Engineer Yasser Idris, Chairman of the Committee, said Egyptian Olympic Committee: The conditions for continuing membership of the members of the current Board of Directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee apply to 8 members, i.e. more than 50% of the 14 members of the Board; This is after the end of all Olympic sports federation elections today, Saturday, December 14.
Engineer Yasser Idris continued that the regulations for sports federations stipulate that those holding international positions continue as members of the board of directors in their federation, such as the duo, Engineer Abdel Moneim Al-Husseini and Dr. Alaa. Gabr, as their international status allows them to be members of the Board of Directors of the Arms and Bow and Arrow Federations, and thus they continue to the present time as members of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee.

Winner of the presidency of the Egyptian Federation of Modern Pentathlon, Vice President of the International Federation of Modern Pentathlon, and accountant Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, winner of the presidency of the Weightlifting Federation, and Major General Hazem Hosni, winner of the presidency of the Federation Shooting and parliamentarian Aya Madani won permanent membership in the International Olympic Committee, representing Egypt.
The Board of Directors of the Egyptian Olympic Committee, headed by Engineer Yasser Idris, unanimously decided to approve holding the regular general assembly of the Egyptian Olympic Committee for the year 2024 on April 25, 2025. Which includes the election of a new board of directors for the 2024/2028 session, provided that the nomination period will be opened starting from March 1, 2025, and the nomination period will close on March 7, 2025.
