Diallo snatches a derby win for Manchester United over Manchester City

Manchester United deepened the tragedy of its local rival, Manchester City, the English Premier League title holder, after Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo scored late goals to snatch an unexpected 2-1 victory over its host in a Premier League summit on Sunday.
It seemed that Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim’s team was on its way to a third consecutive defeat in the league after falling behind to a header from defender Yusko Gvardiol.
But the derby match, which lacked quality, witnessed a stunning late turn when a mistake by Matthews Nunez led to a penalty kick, giving Fernandez the opportunity to equalize from the penalty spot in the 88th minute.
Manchester City barely got over the shock, but after a few seconds, Diallo delighted the visiting fans with a wonderful goal from a tight angle.
City won only once in 11 matches in all competitions and remained in fifth place in the league standings, while United rose to 12th place.
