Haaland shares the Egyptians’ joy in winning over Zimbabwe

Manchester City and Norwegian national team striker Erling Haaland congratulated his teammate Omar Marmoush, and Egyptian and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, after a 2-1 victory over Zimbabwe in the African Nations Championship.

Mohamed Salah posted on his Instagram account a photo of him with his teammate and Manchester City player Omar Marmoush, after the end of the match that witnessed their brilliance. Marmoush opened the scoring for the “Pharaohs”, before Egyptian King Salah increased the score with a second goal in the final hour of the match, giving Egypt the first 3 points in the tournament.

Haaland, Salah and Marmoush shared the joy of winning, by commenting on the photo, saying: “Hello, my brothers.”

Morocco is hosting the current edition of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which continues until January 18, 2026.

Egypt plays in the second group alongside South Africa, Angola, and Zimbabwe.
