“D8 Islamic Cooperation Summit”… Here is the most important information about it before its launch in Cairo

On Thursday, 12/19/2024, Cairo will host the summit of the Organization of Eight Islamic Countries for Economic Cooperation D8 In its eleventh edition, which is held under the slogan “Investing in youth and supporting small and medium enterprises: shaping the economy of tomorrow.”

 

Egypt chairs the current version of the summit, as it assumed the presidency of the group last May and will continue to lead its work until the end of next year.

 

This edition is scheduled to discuss ways to confront the successive global economic and political changes.

 

It is also scheduled to hold several summits and bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the O8 summit in Cairo, whether at the level of presidents or delegations participating in the conference. < /span>

 

 

Preparatory meetings for the summit

The official meetings of member states at the level of commissioners began in Cairo to prepare for the organization’s summit within the framework of the Egyptian presidency of the Organization of Eight Developing Countries for Economic Cooperation D-8, where the meetings were chaired by Ambassador Raji El-Etreby, Egypt’s Commissioner to the Organization and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for International and Regional Multilateral Economic Affairs.< /span>

 

Ambassador “Al-Etreby” is scheduled to By presenting the results of the commissioners’ discussions to the meeting scheduled to be held by the foreign ministers of the OIC countries on December 18, in preparation for submitting them to the leaders of the group’s countries for discussion and approval during the Cairo Summit.

 

 

Group of Eight Islamic Countries
