Health: Providing medical services to 3.4 million citizens in Menoufia within 11 months

The Ministry of Health and Population announced the provision of medical services to 3,415,288 citizens, in addition to developing and raising the efficiency of 20 hospitals and 261 primary care facilities in Menoufia Governorate, during the period from January 1 until the end of November 2024. In implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to achieve sustainable development and the “Egypt 2030” vision.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, indicated – in a statement today, Friday – the addition of new services. Hospital equipment; PAX devices were supplied to the radiology departments in the governorate’s hospitals to link the radiology departments to the General Administration of Radiology, providing 26 care beds and distributing them to the hospitals most in need. The pediatric surgery department was also opened at Zawiyat Al-Naora Hospital, increasing 4 cardiac care beds, 4 internal care beds, and 8 monitors in the hospital. Ashmoun General Hospital, a Canon CT device, 4 monitor devices, and a VENT device at Menouf General Hospital, and providing a nerve imaging device at Ramad Shebin Hospital, in addition to Equipping the care department at Barket El Sabaa Hospital, and equipping child care at Tala Central Hospital. He pointed out the opening of the third floor of the dialysis unit in Sars Al-Layan Hospital, with a capacity of 12 machines, including 4 children, the opening of the dialysis unit in the Chintana Fever Hospital, with a capacity of 9 machines, the opening of the dental clinic and the health insurance clinic in Quesna Hospital, the supply of a C-ARM device and the equipping of a care department. children in the hospital itself, and developing the blood bank in the two hospitals (Sadat and Tala Central) and converting them into pooled blood banks, in addition to the completion of construction work in the hospital. Al-Shuhada, with a capacity of 223 beds, and Ashmoun Hospital with a capacity of 245 beds, and allocating a plot of land to establish Shebin El-Kom Hospital, and a plot of land in Corridor 47 in Sadat City to establish the Menouf Oncology Institute. The Nursing School in Ashmoun was also developed, along with the development of educational curricula for graduates of the next batches.
< p> He added that the medical services provided to citizens included receiving two million 104 thousand and 267 citizens in outpatient clinics, and receiving 141 thousand And 914 patients, through 72 evening clinics in various medical specialties at the level of Menoufia Governorate, in addition to the establishment of 43 health units, where 11 units were received, 5 units were operated experimentally, and work is being done to operate the remaining units, in addition to raising the efficiency of 19 health units in Al-Shuhada and Ashmoun. Equipping 15 health facilities with medical and non-medical equipment as part of the “Decent Life” presidential initiative, in addition to automating 244 vaccination centers.
He noted the organization of 79 medical convoys that provided services to 88,256 citizens, the issuance of 4,861 decisions at state expense, and the examination of 6,146 cases through 5 “remote” diagnosis units. In the hospitals of (Menouf Fever, Shebin El-Kom Fever, Quesna Central, Sadat Central, and Ashmoun General), in addition to receiving 1,160,602 women to obtain family planning methods.
For his part, the Undersecretary of the Directorate of Health Affairs in Menoufia indicated Dr. Osama Abdullah called for intensifying traffic campaigns to monitor the progress of work and ensure the provision of necessary medical services to citizens, monitor violations and take legal measures against those who are negligent, in Medical facilities affiliated with the Ministry and private facilities, in addition to passing through 11,138 food facilities, withdrawing 10,688 samples and analyzing them to ensure their suitability, and destroying those that were unfit for use, in order to preserve the health and safety of citizens.
He said that 90 percent had been implemented. % of the requirements of the Accreditation and Supervision Authority, at Shebin El-Kom Fever Hospital, and the preparation of (Menouf fevers and Shanta al-Hajar fevers) to obtain the authority’s accreditation. This is within the framework of raising performance indicators and implementing standards of quality, security and safety of patients, as the Directorate of Health Affairs in Menoufia obtained third place in the overall performance indicators from the Ministry of Health and Population, with a rate of 89%, in addition to the Directorate’s Convoy Administration obtaining second place with a rate of 85.5%, and the Department of Medicine. The Curative Department ranked third, with a rate of 86%, the Urgent Care and Emergency Department ranked fourth, with a rate of 95%, the Preventive Department, with a score of 90%, and the Health Affairs Directorate ranked fourth. In health initiatives.
He pointed to raising the efficiency of medical teams and providing training courses in all medical, technical and administrative fields to raise the level of human resources in all health facilities, based on the instructions of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, to pay attention to education.
